Project Details:
Odinheim is a norse viking themed god game in which players taken on the role of a god directing the development of a small settlement of people. Players gain power as their followers pray to them, and then can spend that power on miracles to support the village as it grows. Players can also send expeditions to explore the world and bring back new materials and treasure. Key challenges in this project included integrating third party procedural generation tools, developing complex AI behaviours using Behaviour Designer, and adapting GridBuilder 2 to meet our needs.
Key Responsibilities:
 • Lead Developer: I developed the building placement system, implemented the UI, miracle systems, exploration mechanics, and season system. I was responsible for integrating and adapting third party tools, overseeing the developer working on the AI, and debugging and performance optimisation.
 • Business Development: Creating and delivering funding pitches (successful), managing all budgets and finances, and creating pitching materials for events. This project received UK Games Fund and NI Screen funding.
